Here's a great breakfast recipe that I have been giving my husband. It will help to increase your energy level and it's nutritous. What is my secret ingredient?
PORRIDGE
Boil 1 1/4 cups of water in saucepan (makes one serving)
Add while stirring constantly
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 or 1 mashed banana
cinnamon to taste
1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
Adjust heat to "medium" and continue stirring for approx 2 minutes
Voila - you have just made a very nutrious breakfast. Feel free to substitute the banana for any fresh fruit that is in season. You may wish to add the fresh fruit directly ontop of the porridge once it's poured in the serving bowl.
Add milk and sugar to taste.
